| Hi! I have never participated in a duathlon or triathlon before, only running events. Will a mountain bike suffice for this race, or will I need to have a road bike? Is this even a race that is suited for brand new participants? Please advise, thanks! |

| Mountain or Fat Tire bikes are fine for this event. You may even decide to get a road bike after competing. Just be sure to stay to the right unless you are passing someone and be aware of whats going on around you. Also this is a good race for newbies. Have a great race. |
