Can I send someone to pick up my packet? I don't get off work until 6pm today and tomorrow. I work in Brandon. I'll never make it on time.

I am 99.9999% sure that you have to pick it up in person with your ID - as they keep saying in the poasts: NO ID/NO RACE/NO EXCEPTIONS - no one else can do it - but they do have packet pick-up on Sat AM at Ft DeSoto starting at 5:15AM - but my advice - play sick around noon tomorrow (say you thinkyou have swine flu - they will def let you go home - ha ha) and go home early to get organized for the race... I mean whats more important?!?! Wink

The only information that I've seen that hints someone other than the racer can pick up a race packet is in reference to a racer who is a minor. The subject was not specific, but it implied that the guardian may be able to pick up the race packet for the minor. I would imagine that the "waiver" would provide for the signature of the guardian and the minor - but only the guardian's signature would have any legal effect. Minor's do not have the legal capacity to sign - hense the need for a guardian.

I hope this helps.
